Or should I say family!
Yes the family arrived.
Let me introduce them~
Grandson, otherwise known for today's posting as
Spiderman!
Spiderman's grandma,
who I think you know~
yes it's me on that wire.
'Does my bum look big in this?'
And here comes Spiderman's uncle
zipping into the picture!
Here is Spiderman with his Daddy.
So where is Mummy?
Well, she was the official photographer with at least 3 cameras
to document our adventure amongst the trees!
When we went to this place near to where we live.
It was something we hadn't tried before.
As Spiderman is only 5 years old
we thought it wise for there to be two people
up amongst the trees to assist him.
That would be his uncle
and yours truly.
Spiderman was excellent,
even if it was 'scary' at times.
He showed a lot of skill, bravery and sensibility.
It was a lot of fun.
I would certainly do it again.
In the photos above we were on the lower courses
as they were the easy ones
and most appropriate for Spiderman
and myself.
I know that for a fact as later on
I joined my son on a more difficult course
and ended up being rescued!
Well when I checked the course out
apart from looking higher,
it didn't look too difficult to me.
WRONG!
It was a struggle,
and unbeknowns to me,
I had an audience watching me grappling with ropes and
wriggly, awkward bits of wood strung from ropes
making it very difficult to make any progress across a gap some
6 metres above ground.
Fortunately I was oblivious to the small crowd watching,
or indeed the photos they were taking!
Yes, at my expense!
My daughter got a really good bad photo of me in a most ungainly position.
Fortunately I can't show it to you as I don't have it.
Suffice to say,
it was an excellent activity
even if Grandma did make a fool of herself!

My friend Clare also got stuck on one of these type places-and I wouldn't even contemplate it so you are very brave! I do love those zip wires though! Spiderman looks as if he was made for the job anyway.
Lynne,
I haven't blogged in so long until today. (Facebook has me in its grip! lol) I enjoyed your post very much! I don't think I would have the nerve to sail through the trees like that! You go, girl!
PS Spiderman AND his daddy are BOTH very, very handsome!!!
Wow, that looks like lots of fun. It must of been very fun hanging in the trees with Spiderman!
Lynne, you are indeed brave. I'm not sure I would have attempted the easier one let alone the more difficult one. It does look like you all had a fun time though. :D
Fun pictures Lynne!
Well done you - I'm scared of heights, so I would give this a miss!! Some years ago when we were in Australia we did a 'treetop walk' - I ended up in tears (and we won't mention the caves!) Spiderman is gorgeous!!
You are a cool grandma!!! Good for you. Cool grandmas are the best, and I'm sure Spiderman will treasure this adventure forever...even when part of this adverture turned out to be more difficult than the grandma of a super heroe would have anticipated :-) Bravo for trying!
thank you for sharing your lovely family.
have a great day!
I'm so not good with heights - I would have bneen the one with the camera!!
I think Grandma did great! Three cheers for Grammy!
You get an A for effort! I wouldn't have even attempted it. Cute pictures of your superhero.
Although it does look like you're all having fun there's absolutely no way I could be that high above the ground even with wires and harnesses... Brave Spiderman's Grandma!!! :)
Nice series, lucky kids!
Beautiful family, what a great set of pictures.;) I too just recently returned from a week spend with my very own Spiderman, my nephew.;) (Or *Le Spiderman*, as he calls it;)
xo
Nice photograph and atractive post---.
Hi Lynne,
How are you? I saw you had commented on Kenda's blog and realised I haven't said hi for ages! Hope all is going well.
What great fun that must have been, you are brave. I would like to have a go but I with nobody watching me!
