Beach Days

Well today has been a better day weatherwise. This picture is good at showing the sky and how lovely the weather has been, if a little windy. My friend was taking a picture of me, supposedly!

This one is better. We had a lovely walk on the beach with Paddy, Jewel and Rufus, our Greyhounds. More of them another time.

What was amazing was , it's a Saturday in the middle of the school holidays, the weather is lovely, and the beach was deserted. I've had several visits to the beach of late and it's not unusual.

Here we are at the end of our walk. Each of the dogs had a run on the beach today. That's not always possible as two of them are likely to go chasing other dogs if there's any to be seen.

Butter wouldn't melt in their mouths.

This is a photo taken last week when I looked after my grandson for a day. We had a lovely time at the beach, digging holes, making sandcastles, singing, and then he set off for a run. It was a job keeping up with him. Perhaps I should call him Forest after Forest Gump.

Run Forest, run!

Goodmorning Lynn,
Thanks for your visit to my blog !
So exciting to meat new "bloggers".
As i see your pictures you live in a beautiful area, so close by the see. But moving to Sweden must also be fantastic! We loved Norway this summer and maybe next year Sweden? Who knows. For me it's the 2nd year i have a vegetable garden and not all is going well but i think it all depends a lot on the weather :) We also got our share of rain! But cannot complain this weekend, still fine weather ... I am feeling better but still cough a lot... just have take it easy for a few days (knitting :))
Have a nice weekend. Janneke.

Hi there glad you like the blog, so nice to have a new comment maker. I seem to get plenty of hits judging by the counter, but never seem to get an awful lot of comments. Still at least people look I suppose. What beautiful dogs, I love them. We chose whippets over greyhounds for the practical reason that our house is so small. I mean that literally as well, a couple of them laying down in the living room and they would take up half the floor space! Our Hamish is an old boy now, 13 to be precise. Can still put on a spurt of speed if he sees a rabbit or squirrel, but mostly lies on the sofa in the warm. Why Sweden??

Dear Lynne, thank you so much for visiting and for leaving such a kind comment! Hope to see you often!

LOVE your pictures from the beach; I've always had a thing for water although I'm not much of a swimmer. We have a small summer cottage by the sea and that's my little peace of heaven on earth :-)

Hi, Thanks for visiting and leaving comments.
We are indeed fortunate in living in a lovely part of the country. The beaches are particularly lovely and often underused. Must be something to do with the cool/cold wind we often get here.
We are looking forward to moving back to Sweden in 2 weeks time and to our lifestyle there. I think our greyhounds will really enjoy it.
Nice talking with you all. See you again soon.
Lynne
