Shopping and Flowers

Or shopping for flowers?

I took a trip to town yesterday.
I needed to return my library books.
And I came back with these.
We needed a bit of colour.

It was a dull day,
and even a bit rainy,

This is a display outside one of the florists shops.
The florists are always worth a look inside.

We find the shops tend open later here.

In the UK they are often open at 8.a.m. or 9.a.m.

That is if they're not open 24 hours!

It is possible to go into town and do a circular route round the lake.
Very pretty.
I'll try and capture this view on a sunny day!

Well I've found a sunny place for these two.

Is this one okay here?

Lynne,

LOVE your geraniums! It is so good to see the sun shining on your landscape and see it beautiful with green. (It was also SOOO beautiful with white snow and ice!)

Happy Spring!

Hi Lynne,
Pretty flowers! I like your lemony tablecloth too. That lake looks beautiful, even on a grey day.
I often get told to stop being silly at school by one particular child-perhaps she is a a Capricorn!
As far as the picture goes-I just right click and save picture as and then treat it as a normal photo. I am not too good at embed codes-although I have managed a youtube video so there is no stopping me now!

What a pretty lake. I love your bright, colorful geraniums. We are having a grey, rainy day today also. Guess I'll stay inside and do housework instead of working in the flowers! Hope you have a great weekend.

I love to shop for flowers. Nothing like having flowers around to brighten things up and make them cheery.

Everyone needs a little color now and then. I have not been visiting blogs as much with my illness still slowing me down and thought of you today. I wondered how you are and if you shared any of your patchwork on your blog? I am working on a hexagon stocking now for my charm quilt theme this year. I thought it would be a fun holiday project to work on. How is your hexagon quilt coming along?

Hugs ~
Heidi

Hi Lynne,
This is the second comment I have posted, but being new to the blogging scene I think the first may have gone astray somehow!
Lovely photos as usual.
It is wet and windy here in Cumbria today. The warm sunshine of the past few weeks has left us shivering in its shadow.
The daffodils have faded and tulips are falling apart in the strong winds. In their wake the bluebells are peeping through the bracken on the hillside, and the blossoms are out on the trees.
Hope you get this comment. I have promised to send one for so long.
Love to you, Mike and the hounds.
Chris

Hi Lynne,
What a lovely day you had...a nice walk, looking at the nice flower shop and getting something new to read. The geraniums are so full of colour, really great.
Greetings, Janneke.
