Sunday Morning Walk

This morning was lovely and sunny as I walked the Hounds.

Can you just see the moon in the photo below?

View across the river, showing one of the many shrines.

The Hounds waited patiently while I took the photos.
Jewel lay down amongst the leaves.
It was one of the things that attracted me to her when we walked her at the kennels.
Whenever we stopped to talk to anyone she would lie down just where she was.

I have been putting their muzzles on them whilst walking them.
People will often be wary when they see them with muzzles.
But it didn't stop a Rumanian man talking to me as I came back from the walk.
He had a bunch of parsley he said his wife was going to make a soup.
He told me they travel, not staying in one place to live.
They are in Germany for work as there is no work in Rumania.
It's amazing the converations I've had whilst being here,
with people who speak little or in most cases no English,
and meeting them for the first time.

What a pretty day for a walk & photos. Jewel is so sweet. When we visited Germany many years ago, I was amazed how most everyone we met could speak enough English that we could communicate. We did not know any German. Here in Georgia, it was very sunny and warm today and I took our pets outside to enjoy before the rain moves in on Tuesday. Hope you have a lovely week.

Jewel seems to have such a sweet demeanor. I think she would be a very good companion to have along for a walk. I think it is neat that people you just meet will take the time to stop and talk to you for a bit.

Beautiful photos as always Lynne! I love that first one of the path. That is a great thing that Jewel does-so polite and sensible. I wish I had talked to the little old lady in Greenwich. Are people pretty friendly where you are?
I feel quite a bit better than last week thanks-I went to work today anyway! Thanks for asking. I also wanted to say thanks for that link the other day-weren't they amazing? I would love to have seen that. I once saw a street theatre thing in London with a giant elephant that I think was a puppet-I wonder if it was the same company? I shall look out for them coming to the UK!

I think dogs are great ice breakers. I have made some wonderful freinds through my dogs, who have become close friends. It certainly looks like a beautiful place to walk.
